RAPA officially opened its second plant at Jintan, Changzhou, Jiangsu, on September 2, 2026, after investing around 20 million euros, to produce motor-pump units for SERES.

Toyota Industries Denso Air Conditioning Compressor (Kunshan) plans an expansion of its electric compressor production by 1.28 million units in Kunshan, Jiangsu. Jiangsu authorities confirmed the project as eligible under national industrial policy.

Autojia says its 1-million-unit-per-year electric compressor project in Chuzhou, Anhui, has partly been completed and formed some capacity, with full production expected by mid-2023.

Aotejia (002239.SZ) said on December 22, 2022 that its annual 1 million electric compressor project is expected to be completed in mid-2023. After completion, its electric compressor annual capacity is expected to be about 1.8 million units.

Tianjin Aida Automatic Transmission, a joint venture of Aisin AW and FAW Group, is adding a finished-product line for front-wheel-drive 6-speed automatic transmissions in Tianjin Development Zone, China. Shareholders added USD 31 million of capital, with production capacity of 300,000 units a year planned for April 2019.

Hanon Systems signed an investment agreement with the Dalian municipal government to build a third plant in Dalian for automotive compressors, bringing total site space to over 98,000 square meters.
