Zhejiang Duantai Valve Co. held a groundbreaking ceremony on March 3, 2025 for a project in Wenzhou to produce 1 million hydrogen-energy high-pressure forged steel valves per year in a digital, fully automated plant. Total investment is 118 million CNY, with completion planned in about 500 days.

Shanghai Power Station Valve Works held a groundbreaking ceremony for a 1 billion yuan smart valve factory covering 80 mu and 150,000 square metres. Completion is planned for June 2026, with production starting in October 2026.

ZIQI Compressor announced its 15,000 square metre smart factory in Dexing City, Jiangxi Province is officially operational. The facility triples production capacity compared with its Shanghai Lingang plant and makes oil-free air compressors, mobile compressors and vacuum pumps.

A filing shows a Hitachi scroll compressor new business platform manufacturing project in Conghua District, Guangzhou, with total investment of 345.85 million yuan and about 68,500 m² of floor space, with construction from June 2025 to December 2026.

Shlekler (Shandong) Pump & Valve Manufacturing Co. plans a new valve manufacturing facility in Zhangdian District, Zibo, Shandong, with an investment of about CNY 26.47 million. The project is in design stage with construction scheduled from Q4 2026 to Q4 2028.

Johnson Controls-Hitachi Wanbao Compressor (Guangzhou) signed an investment agreement with Conghua District to build a scroll compressor manufacturing plant with annual capacity of 1.2 million units. The project cost about CNY 480 million, with construction to start in Q2 2025 and production in Q4 2026.

Ningbo Aux Electric is building a 5 billion yuan air conditioner compressor plant in the Wuhu Economic-Technological Development Zone, targeting 30 million units per year. Trial production is expected by end of 2024 and full production in the first half of 2025.

EPSEA Industrial has completed the topping-out of its 50,000+ square metre Factory II, which will make gas storage tanks, separator tanks, reaction kettles and pressure vessels, with full operation expected by end-2024.

Shanghai Baosteel Packaging Co. announced a total investment of about 452 million yuan to build an intelligent two-piece can production base in Tongan district, Xiamen, Fujian, with a design capacity of 1.1 billion cans per year. The project will be executed through a new subsidiary, Xiamen Baosteel Can Making Co., and takes about 16 months to build.

Carlsberg Group opened its 27th production base in China in Sanshui district of Foshan, Guangdong, on Wednesday after a 2.96 billion yuan investment. The brewery has two bottling lines and canning and kegging lines.

Sewis Pump Valve Manufacturing (Zhejiang) started construction on a 350 million yuan project in Haiyan Economic Development Zone to produce 100,000 sets per year of ship, ultra-low-temperature and hydrogen-energy valves, expected to start production in March 2026.

A Chinese tank container valve maker's subsidiary is building a new 36.2 mu, roughly 22,000 square meter plant in Rudong, Jiangsu for high-end stainless steel valves, with investment of 500 million yuan. Main structure was topped out on June 24, 2024, and the plant is expected to produce 60,000 pieces per year.

Rizhao Yulan New Material is opening a new tinplate mill close to the port of Qingdao, with an investment of RMB 3.3 billion (US$454 million).

Chaoda Valve is building an 8,000-tonne-per-year high-end smart pump and valve plant in Oubei, Yongjia, Wenzhou, with total investment of CNY 560 million. Civil construction had passed 60% by July 2024 and is expected to finish by year end.

Dawn Group held a groundbreaking on July 1, 2024 for a high-end stainless steel pump and valve intelligent manufacturing project in Longkou, run by its joint venture Dawn Precision Intelligent Company. The planned investment is CNY 522 million and the project is due to reach full capacity by January 2026.

Daowen Group and Yantai Longgang Pump held a groundbreaking ceremony on 1 July 2024 for a stainless steel pump and valve intelligent manufacturing project in Longkou. The project has a planned investment of CNY 522 million and is expected to produce 27,000 tons of stainless steel castings a year.

Changzhou Power Station Auxiliary Equipment Co. broke ground on a 50,000-set-per-year high-end valve control system plant on a 79-mu site in the Wujin National High-tech Zone, Changzhou, at a ceremony on June 13, 2024.

Swire Coca-Cola started building a CNY1.3 billion (USD180 million) smart, green bottling factory in Guangzhou with 11 beverage production lines, expected to raise its Greater Bay Area capacity by about 66%.

BERICAP is investing in a new plant in Kunshan near Shanghai that will increase its production capacity by 50%. Production is planned to start in 2027, and the investment amount was not disclosed.

Aux Group's project to build a smart air-conditioning compressor plant with annual capacity of 30 million units in Wuhu, Anhui, was launched at a provincial start-of-construction event. Total investment is about 5 billion yuan, with completion expected in March 2025 and 3,000 jobs created.

Nanzhen held the groundbreaking ceremony on 2 January 2024 for the second phase of its smart manufacturing center in the Nanjing Binjiang Development Zone, planned for vacuum and compression products with annual capacity of 500 systems.

Zhejiang-based pump and valve maker Sevis Pump & Valve signed a project to build a plant producing 100,000 sets per year of ship, ultra-low temperature and marine hydrogen valves on 39 mu of new land in Haiyan Economic Development Zone, with total investment of 200 million yuan and construction starting April 2024.
