Yokogawa has been selected by the JGC Fluor joint venture JFJV2 as main automation contractor for the LNG Canada Phase 2 expansion in Kitimat, British Columbia. The expansion will double capacity from 14 to 28 million metric tons per year.

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions was awarded a contract by BHP for underground mining equipment and automation for the Jansen Potash project in Saskatchewan, Canada, worth about SEK 2 billion. Deliveries run from Q3 2023 to 2026, and production start is targeted for 2027.

Rotork shipped fifteen IQ3 electric actuators from its Calgary facility to Suncor's Fort Hills oil sands mine in Alberta, with over 1,000 pneumatic actuators also supplied from Italy and South Korea.
