Jenson & Nicholson Packaging signed a land lease with the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority to build a new manufacturing facility at the National Special Economic Zone, an investment of about US$13.7 million.

Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation will buy 50% of its woven polypropylene and polyethylene bag requirement from listed Miracle Industries, up from 20%, following a ministry directive in September 2025. The price for the order has not yet been finalised.

Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company signed an agreement with S.C. Euro Gas Systems of Romania to procure and install three wellhead compressors at the Srikail gas field in Cumilla, worth USD 15.92 million. The signing took place on Tuesday, 23 April 2024.

Deshbandhu Group is building a 100% export-oriented jumbo bag plant in Palash upazila, Narsingdi, with an investment of Tk300 crore and about 2,000 planned jobs, with production scheduled for June 2024.

Chinese company Yuanshun Enterprise will invest US$9.49 million to set up a packaging plant in Mongla Export Processing Zone, Bangladesh, producing 10 million boxes a year and employing 490 people. The agreement was signed with BEPZA.

Walton High-tech Industries established Bangladesh's first compressor factory, which it established on April 6, 2017, and publicised in July 2020. Walton says the plant makes compressors with German technology and offers a 12-year warranty.

Wärtsilä signed two seven-year maintenance and operational advisory agreements with Summit Group for two power plants in Gazipur, Dhaka, with a combined 464 MW output. The orders were booked in Q2 2019 and are described as the largest service deals by MW in Bangladesh's energy sector.

Dhaka Mass Transit Company awarded Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Corporation a JPY 40 billion (EUR 309.4 million) contract to supply 144 rolling stock cars and depot equipment for Dhaka MRT Line-6.

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, signed an order to supply on-vessel equipment, Flintstone mooring connectors and project management for a mooring and riser system for Excelerate Energy's floating LNG terminal off Moheshkhali island, Bangladesh. Delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2018.

Walton's newly built compressor factory in Gazipur received an export order from German compressor maker Secop GmbH for 400,000 casting parts. Shipments were to be completed within the month.

Walton inaugurated its compressor manufacturing unit at Walton Industrial Park in Chandra, Gazipur, on April 6, 2017, with an annual capacity of 4 million compressors and a target of 12 million within five years.
