BP has awarded Emerson a multi-million-dollar contract to supply DeltaV control and safety systems for the Shah Deniz Compression offshore platform in the Caspian Sea, which is part of a $2.9 billion project. The contract value was not disclosed. The announcement was made on 14 August 2026.

Emerson has received a multi-million-dollar contract from bp to deliver integrated control and safety systems for the Shah Deniz Compression project in the Caspian Sea offshore Azerbaijan. The platform is scheduled to start up in 2029.

The Shah Deniz consortium awarded Azfen a $321 million contract to fabricate, assemble, install and integrate an 8,500-tonne topsides unit for the Shah Deniz Compression platform. Fabrication will take place at Azfen's Bayil yard, with construction starting in Q4 2025 and completion by end-2028.

Quality Pack Caspian, a project of an Azerbaijani investment company with Hungary's Hell Energy, will build a plant in the Alat Free Economic Zone to produce aluminum beverage cans. Annual capacity will be 700 million cans.

A contract was signed between Azerbaijan Investment Company and Hell Energy for a beverage can factory in Alat, announced at the 10th Azerbaijan-Hungary Intergovernmental Commission in Baku.

Hell Energy of Hungary will open a factory in the Alat Free Economic Zone, Azerbaijan, next year with annual capacity of 700 million aluminum beverage cans, under a contract with Azerbaijan Investment Company. The investment is $211 million and more than 300 jobs are planned.

A joint venture involving Hell Energy and the Azerbaijan Investment Company plans an aluminum beverage can production and filling plant in the Alat Free Economic Zone. Design work is being finalized and construction is expected to start soon, with 280 permanent jobs anticipated.

Azerbaijan Investment Holding and Hungarian company Hell Energy signed an agreement to construct a plant producing aluminium beverage cans in the Alat free economic zone. The cans will be exported regionally and used for bottling on the domestic market.

Glassica LLC plans to start building a second glass container plant in the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park in March 2023, to be completed in 14 months. Its investment is 60 million manat, and the first plant has produced about 3 million containers, with 250,000 exported to Romania and Moldova.

STP LLC, a resident of Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, has started producing diesel generators for the first time in Azerbaijan, initially two models of 27.5 kVA and 55 kVA, with more models planned.

ORBINOX will supply 28 stainless steel knife gate valves for the Azeri Central East platform in the Caspian Sea, operated by BP as part of the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli development. The announcement is dated 18 May 2021.

Honeywell UOP selected GEA Refrigeration Technologies to supply engineered tail gas compression packages with GEA XH screw compressors. The packages are for the modernization of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Orbinox will supply 28 stainless steel knife gate valves for BP's Azeri Central East (ACE) project, a new production platform in the Caspian Sea. The valves will be mounted on the platform deck above the waterline.

Babcock Valves manufactured a package of high pressure motorized gate valves for SOCAR's Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Emerson was awarded a USD 14 million contract to provide automation technologies for BP's new Azeri Central East offshore platform in the Caspian Sea, part of the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli oilfield. The fast-track project is due onstream in 2023.

Expro won a four-year contract extension from BP to continue providing subsea landing string equipment and services for the Shah Deniz Stage 2 project in the South Caspian Sea. Expro first secured the contract in 2014.

Expro opened a new purpose-built facility in Baku, Azerbaijan, costing $5 million, with 8,500 square metres of office and workshop space for 30 employees. It will provide integrated subsea services in the region.

MPOWER was awarded a public tender in 2016 to supply high-pressure forged gate and globe valves to Azerbaijan state oil company SOCAR Azerikimiya, valued at EUR 85,000.

SOCAR GPC selected Univation's UNIPOL PE technology and XCAT metallocene technology for a world-scale 600,000 tpy polyethylene plant to be built in Garadagh, Azerbaijan, with Linde Engineering completing the basic engineering design package.
