Alstom to acquire Bombardier Transportation for US$8.2 billion

Alstom SA is acquiring Bombardier Transportation from Bombardier Inc. for US$8.2 billion. To address European regulatory concerns, Alstom has committed to sell certain assets, including Bombardier's V300 Zefiro train platform, Talent 3 platform and Hennigsdorf site in Germany, as well as Alstom's Coradia Polyvalent platform and Reichshoffen site in France.
