The City of Cape Town awarded a R240-250 million contract to Water Solutions South Africa-Proxa South Africa JV for a temporary desalination plant at Strandfontein Pavilion. The plant will produce 2 million litres per day initially in March 2018, ramping up to 7 million litres per day.
