Boeing begins $1B expansion of South Carolina 787 plant

Boeing has begun a $1 billion expansion of its Charleston, South Carolina facility to increase production of the 787 Dreamliner. The expansion will create 500 new jobs and aims to increase production to 10 airplanes per month by 2026 and 16 per month by 2028.
