Endata vs. Amplitude
Endata vs. Amplitude AI Visibility
Both show you where AI answers leave your business out, and both can draft content about it. Amplitude ties the numbers to your analytics and hands you the draft. Endata researches the draft from current sources and, once you approve it, publishes and shares it.
Endata vs. Amplitude at a glance
Choose Endata if
- You want the answer researched, published and shared, not a draft to copy into another tool.
- You need Claude, Perplexity and Gemini tested alongside ChatGPT.
- You don't run a product analytics platform and don't plan to.
- You want every claim in a draft tied to a recent source you can check.
Choose Amplitude if
- You already use Amplitude and want AI visibility beside your traffic and conversion data.
- You need Google AI Overview covered.
- You want sentiment, average rank and the sources assistants cite, across many prompts.
- You have people to review, place and publish the content it generates.

What is the real difference between Endata and Amplitude?
Amplitude is a product analytics platform first. AI Visibility is one of its features, found under Marketing Analytics, and it answers the question an analytics team would ask: “how often and how favorably do AI answers mention us, and what is that worth in traffic and revenue?”
Endata is only about this one problem, and follows it further: “which buyer questions leave us out, and what should we publish about each one?” Each missed question becomes a topic Endata researches, a draft with its sources cited, a page on your newsroom once you approve it, and a monthly recheck.
How does each one measure AI visibility?
Endata
Endata reads your website, asks you to confirm your audience, two to six competitors and three to five topics, and writes six questions a buyer would plausibly ask. No question names a business. It then puts each one to ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini through their makers' APIs, with web search on, and records who was named.

How to read this. AI answers change from one run to the next, so these figures are a sample of what your customers may see, not a ranking.
That is a deliberately small test. It will not give you a visibility score for a whole market. It will tell you, in a couple of minutes and for free, which specific questions your competitors are winning.
Amplitude
Amplitude works with many more prompts; its FAQ speaks of hundreds. They are generated by AI or added by you, and grouped into topics. Reports refresh weekly or daily.
For each topic and prompt it shows visibility, relevancy, average rank and citations of your site. A Sentiment tab shows the share of answers that describe you positively or negatively. A Sources tab lists the domains and pages assistants cite. An estimate of search volume is in closed beta.
Then comes the part that only an analytics platform can offer: the data flows into Amplitude Analytics, so you can segment visitors who arrived from AI chats and follow them to conversion.
The gap on Amplitude's side is coverage: its documentation names two engines, ChatGPT and Google AI Overview. Endata tests four assistants, including Claude, Perplexity and Gemini, but not Google AI Overview.
What happens after you find a gap?
Amplitude goes a long way here, and it would be unfair to say otherwise. It gives recommendations in five categories, from low-visibility topics to crawl issues and third-party mentions. Analyze Page reviews a URL or pasted text. Simulate Changes tests an edit against chosen prompts before you make it. And Generate Content writes a blog post, product description, FAQ or landing page for a topic, in your brand voice.
It stops at the draft. You copy it or download it as Markdown, and its documentation is explicit: AI Visibility cannot access or change your website, and you implement the suggestions yourself. Endata carries on from there:
- The plan. Up to five steps, starting with the questions where competitors were named and you were not.
- The research. For each question, a search of the last 30 days of news and web sources, keeping up to eight pieces of evidence.
- The draft. An answer that cites that evidence claim by claim, with room for your own attributed expert view.
- Your approval. Nothing goes live until someone on your side approves it.
- The page. Published on your newsroom or your CMS, and served to AI crawlers as Markdown, in llms.txt and over a public MCP server.
- The recheck. The same six questions, a month later.

- You already have a page on this, so it is a smaller fix with a smaller gain.
So both draft, in different ways. Amplitude's draft follows your brand voice and any reference URLs you give it. Endata's is built from recent outside evidence, shows its sources, and is one step in a pipeline that ends in publication. News articles can then be posted to LinkedIn, Bluesky, X and Pinterest. The full walk-through is in How to fix a hidden AI visibility gap in 10 minutes.
How do Endata and Amplitude pricing compare?
| Endata | Amplitude | |
|---|---|---|
Amplitude does not sell AI Visibility separately. Every plan includes it, and you pay for the platform by event volume. Its documentation says prompt capacity and refresh cadence depend on your plan and account configuration, without giving the numbers.
If you already pay for Amplitude, AI Visibility costs you nothing more, and that is a strong argument for using it. Endata's price covers different things: the researched drafts, the newsroom they are published on and the posting. Its current plans are on the pricing page.
Can you use Endata and Amplitude together?
Yes, and they fit together well. Amplitude measures what Endata does not: sentiment, rank, cited sources, Google AI Overview, and what AI-referred visitors do after they arrive. Endata does what Amplitude leaves to you: researching, publishing and sharing the answers.
For a business with no analytics team, start with the free Endata report and publish answers to the questions it finds. Amplitude's free report is a useful second opinion on the two engines it covers.
What Endata does not do
A comparison is only useful if it is honest about both sides. Endata does not:
- track prompts daily or weekly, or track hundreds of them;
- measure sentiment, ranking position, cited sources or prompt volume;
- cover Google AI Overviews or AI Mode;
- do product analytics, or analyze the pages on your existing website. Its own analytics show AI referral visits and AI crawler fetches of your newsroom, which are not confirmed citations;
- promise that an assistant will recommend you. What an assistant says is its own decision; Endata makes sure there is a clear, sourced answer for it to find.
Frequently asked questions
Is Endata an Amplitude alternative?
Not for analytics, and not for measurement: Amplitude tracks more prompts, more often, with sentiment, rank and sources. Endata is an alternative if what you want is the result, published and shared answers to the questions AI assistants leave you out of.
What is Amplitude AI Visibility?
It is a feature of the Amplitude platform, listed under Marketing Analytics, that monitors how a brand appears in answers from ChatGPT and Google AI Overview, compares it with competitors, and connects the results to Amplitude's product analytics.
Which AI assistants does each one cover?
Endata tests ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini through their official APIs with web search on. Amplitude's documentation says AI Visibility monitors ChatGPT and Google AI Overview. Its analytics can separately report visits arriving from other AI chat platforms.
Does Amplitude write or publish content for AI visibility?
It writes, and does not publish. Generate Content produces a blog post, product description, FAQ or landing page that you copy or download as Markdown. Amplitude's documentation says AI Visibility can't access or change your website. Endata publishes approved answers to a hosted newsroom or your CMS.
How much does Amplitude AI Visibility cost?
Nothing on its own: Amplitude says every plan includes it, and its Free plan includes it with limited volumes. Plus is usage-based and Growth and Enterprise are custom-priced by event volume. Amplitude does not publish the prompt capacity of each plan. Check its site for current terms.
Which is better for a small business?
Run both free reports; neither needs an account. After that it depends on who will publish. Amplitude gives a small business data and a draft to place somewhere. Endata's plans, from $49 a month, research, draft and publish the answers for your approval.
Which is better for a product or growth team?
Usually Amplitude, especially if the team already works in it. Seeing AI visibility next to AI-referred traffic and conversion is something Endata does not offer. Some teams add Endata to produce and maintain the answer pages.
