Valmet inaugurated a manufacturing unit in Vespasiano, Belo Horizonte, Brazil, which it says will triple its filtration solutions production capacity for mining. The unit was presented ahead of Exposibram 2026.

Chinese-capital Kaishan Group officially opened its factory at İZBAŞ in the Izmir Free Zone, Türkiye, built on 20,000 square meters with a USD 20 million investment. It will make drilling equipment and compressors for geothermal power plants for domestic use and export.

Taco Hydroflo Pump Solutions opened a manufacturing facility in Lubbock, Texas, adding 38 jobs and $1,875,000 of capital investment, with expanded pump test pit improvements.

Oilfield equipment maker GulfTek inaugurated a new manufacturing plant in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, under Saudi Aramco's IKTVA program, with USD 20 million committed and a further USD 30 million planned over five years. The site adds 23,000 square metres, bringing production area to about 45,000 square metres.

The EPCM Group launched a new cathode manufacturing and maintenance center in Ahmedabad, India, with production starting May 2023 with 20 local employees. The inaugural project is manufacturing 81,577 copper cathodes for Kutch Copper Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises.

Metso Outotec has opened a new pump assembly plant in Lima, Peru, to serve growing demand for large mining pumps in South America with shorter lead times. The plant is customized for production of large MD Series pumps.

Weir ESCO has broken ground on a new foundry in Xuzhou, China, to add capacity for ESCO ground engaging tools. Production is scheduled to start in late 2024, ahead of full production in 2025.

Gainwell Engineering will invest Rs 500 crore to manufacture coal mining equipment under a Caterpillar technology licence at a plant on 35 ares in Panagarh, West Bengal, creating over 250 jobs. The announcement was made on February 7, 2022.

Schlumberger plans to begin construction of a plant making stages for electric submersible pumps in the Lipetsk special economic zone, Russia, by end of 2016. Total investment is 3.8 billion rubles, with serial production targeted for Q1 2018.
