SMC Manufacturing Vietnam will invest an additional $330 million in Dong Nai province, southern Vietnam, to manufacture and assemble automotive-related pneumatic items at Long Duc Industrial Park, raising SMC's total there to nearly $1 billion.

BOC Australia unveiled a $15 million robot cylinder automation system at its Sydney Operations Centre, using a six-axis robot and turntables to sort and move cylinders. The site produces more than 1.3 million cylinders each year.

Festo is investing about EUR 30 million over 2017 and 2018 to expand its Esslingen-Berkheim headquarters, with labs and offices returning after production moved to Ostfildern.
