High Duty Castings, a family-run foundry in Boksburg East, has installed a Lauds L6 reclamation plant delivering 6 tonnes per hour of cooled sand, as it begins moving toward a smart foundry, marking its 30th anniversary.

The Competition Commission of South Africa prohibited the proposed acquisition of Neopak Limited by Corruseal Group, finding it would substantially lessen competition in recycled containerboard supply. Ethos Private Equity had agreed to sell Neopak in December 2021 for an undisclosed sum.
