SCG Packaging invested VND 2,825 billion (about THB 3,727 million) to take a further 30% stake in Duy Tan JSC, raising its total shareholding to 100%.

Depak Company Limited received approval to raise its investment in a packaging factory at Bim Son Industrial Park, Thanh Hoa, from VND85 billion to VND394.2 billion (about $14.74 million). The plant will make carton packaging and plastic wood products, with operations expected 37 months after land handover.

SCG Packaging plans to invest US$334 million in Vietnam as part of its expansion of packaging businesses, including the Duy Tan acquisition and paper production expansion in northern Vietnam.
