Greene Concepts Inc. announced a partnership with Oman-based APEX Transgulf Manufacturing to use APEX's PET preform units so it can blow its own BE WATER bottles at its Marion, North Carolina bottling plant.

Plastipak Packaging and Kraft Heinz agreed to convert KRAFT Real Mayo and MIRACLE WHIP containers in the United States to 100% food-grade recycled PET, eliminating about 14 million pounds of virgin plastic. The announcement was made on May 13, 2024.

TotalEnergies and New Hope Energy agreed that New Hope will build an advanced recycling plant in Texas processing over 310,000 tons per year of mixed plastic waste, with TotalEnergies buying 100,000 tons of recycled feedstock for polymer production. Production is expected to start in 2025.

Eastman and Procter & Gamble signed an agreement under which P&G will use Eastman Renew materials, made by molecular recycling of waste plastic, in select products and packaging. The companies will also collaborate on plastic recycling infrastructure.

Origin Materials and Packaging Matters have agreed to jointly develop advanced packaging materials, including the polymer PEF, building on an existing 10-year supply agreement for carbon-negative PET.

The Estée Lauder Companies and Eastman signed a global memorandum of understanding under which Estée Lauder brands will incorporate Eastman Renew molecularly recycled polyester packaging to help meet its 2025 sustainable packaging goals. The announcement was made on 30 March 2021.

Berry Global signed a deal to take in bales of recovered PE film, including LLDPE stretch wrap, from Georgia-Pacific Recycling at its Victoria, Texas plant. Berry is installing an extrusion line and repelletizing equipment, with processing expected to start in Q2 2020.

L'Occitane extended its partnership with Loop Industries, which will supply 100% of the PET resin for its bottles from a joint facility with Indorama Ventures in South Carolina, letting L'Occitane reach its 100% recycled bottle goal ahead of 2025.

Henkel announced a partnership with ALPLA to invest over $130 million enhancing laundry detergent production at its Bowling Green, Kentucky facility, including a new bottle production area. ALPLA will hire 60 employees once construction is complete.

Craft brewer Oskar Blues worked with Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics, Berry Global and Ampacet to develop a printed co-extruded shrink film for its 24-can cases, which cut its packaging costs by 40 percent.

Newark, New York flexible packaging maker Maco PKG became the third North American licensee of Dow's PacXpert stand-up pouch technology, to manufacture, sell and co-pack it in North America.
