deSter will make a multi-million investment in production equipment at its Prachinburi, Thailand site to double its wet molded fiber capacity to 250 million trays and bowls per year. The investment was announced on July 25, 2024.

SCG Packaging (SCGP) will add 75,000 tons per year of corrugated carton and sheet board capacity through Thai Containers Group, its 70:30 joint venture with Rengo, at existing sites in Samut Prakan and Samut Sakhon. The THB 2,450 million project is expected to start commercial production in mid-2023.

SCG Packaging (SCGP) is investing Baht 510 million in a new production line and automated warehouse at Visy Packaging (Thailand), adding about 347 million pieces a year of capacity. The line has started commercial operation and the warehouse is due for completion at the end of 2021.

Tetra Pak will build a new plant at its existing Straws and Strips Plant in Rayong, Thailand, to manufacture closures for carton packaging. The €24 million investment is expected to create around 60 jobs and produce more than 3 billion closures per year when it opens in early 2021.
