Cooper Tire's subsidiary Cooper Tire Serbia is expanding production capacity at its Kruševac tire plant by one-third, investing USD 55 million to make larger diameter tires. The press release was issued on 23 July 2020.

Brose held a groundbreaking ceremony on March 6, 2020 for its first Serbian plant in Pancevo, which will make electric motors and electronics for cooling fan modules. The company approved EUR 120 million of investment and plans up to 1,100 new jobs, with mass production targeted by summer 2021.

The Government of Serbia and Aptiv signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Aptiv to open a factory in Zajecar, investing close to EUR 20 million and employing around 2,000 workers. The 40,000 sq m plant is planned in an industrial zone, with construction expected to start in early 2020.
