A joint venture is building Saudi Arabia's first tinplate mill to meet rising regional demand for metal packaging. The report is dated 23 May 2025.

SCHÜTZ and National Plastic Factory Company signed a licence agreement to produce ECOBULK intermediate bulk containers for Saudi Arabia and the GCC. A new production facility will be established near Dammam, with production expected to begin in 2026.

Tetra Pak and Saudi paper maker Al Obeikan Paper Industries announced a joint venture to build a beverage carton recycling plant in Riyadh, with capacity of 8,000 tonnes per year. Tetra Pak is investing 1 million USD, and the plant is expected to run at 50% utilisation by the end of 2020. The announcement was made the week before 8 October 2019.
