Bosch is investing around 100 million euros in its Aveiro site in Portugal by 2026 to build laboratories, two production buildings and additional heat pump lines, creating several hundred jobs over the medium term.

Refrigeration equipment maker Fricon will invest EUR 6 million in a new industrial area in Vila do Conde, Portugal, to double manufacturing. The expansion follows entry into eight African countries and sales growth to EUR 26 million.

BorgWarner signed a new investment contract with the Viana do Castelo city council to invest 7 million euros in expanding its Lanheses plant, adding 5,800 square metres and 38 jobs, with works in 2021.

Nestlé Portugal invested €11 million in a new production line at its Avanca factory in Aveiro, which will export the NutriPuffs baby snack range to 35 markets by Q1 2020.
