A Oman-China joint piping factory by Hongtong Dukm Piping Company opened in the Duqm Special Economic Zone, the first project in the China-Oman Industrial Park, covering 60,000 m² and making hydrocarbon fluid pipes.

Changbao Oman Oil Pipe Company opened a $20 million tubing threading and finishing plant in the Sohar Free Zone, supplying oil country tubular goods to Petroleum Development Oman, with a capacity of 50,000 tonnes a year.
