Swiss vacuum valve maker VAT Group held a groundbreaking for a 39,200 square meter factory extension in Penang, Malaysia. The project will create about 500 jobs and more than double the Malaysian operation's production capacity.

VAT Group completed Phase 2 of its Malaysian campus in September 2019, expanding it from 6,000 to 24,000 square metres, a step forecast to raise global production capacity by 30%.
