Morocco's Competition Council approved Amcor Plc's $8.4 billion acquisition of Berry Global Group at its session on 5 February 2025. The deal still awaits approval in the United States, Canada, China and Turkey.

ALPLA plans to expand its Tangier plant in Morocco by adding about 20,000 m² of operational space over the coming years.

ALPLA acquired a majority stake in Moroccan packaging producer Atlantic Packaging and formed the joint venture ALPLA Morocco with Diana Holding. The Tangier plant has tripled preform capacity to around 300 million units per year after new lines were added.

LAMACOM group inaugurated an extension of its Lamacom plant at Ain Sebaa, Casablanca, creating the Lamatech Packaging Solutions business unit for injection-moulded IML plastic packaging. The investment is 75.6 million MAD and is expected to create 105 jobs.
