Sun Hydraulics plans to buy property and develop a factory in South Korea to manufacture products locally for Asia Pacific customers. Roughly half the cost is expected in 2017, with completion in 2018.

Valve maker Flonix signed an MOU with Wonju City to build a new 9,924 m2 plant at Wonju Enterprise City, investing 11 billion won and hiring 25 local workers. Construction is due to start in October 2017 with operations in 2019.

LOT Vacuum signed a supply contract with Samsung Electronics for dry vacuum pumps used in semiconductor processes, worth KRW 7.92 billion, disclosed on December 28, 2016.

Parker Bestobell Marine received a US$5 million order to supply cryogenic valves for nine more Arc7 LNG carriers being built at Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering in South Korea for the Yamal LNG project.
