Ebara Elliott Energy was awarded an order from Kawasaki Heavy Industries to supply liquid hydrogen booster pumps and cryogenic hydrogen return gas blowers for the Kawasaki LH2 Terminal demonstration in Kawasaki City, Japan. The project is led by Japan Suiso Energy and backed by NEDO.

Torishima Pump Mfg received an order from Kawasaki Heavy Industries for high-flow liquid hydrogen pumps with superconducting motors for the Kawasaki LH2 Terminal in Japan, announced 3 February 2026.

Valmet will supply a 75 MWe biomass-fired CFB boiler and a flue gas cleaning system to Air Water and Energia Power Onahama for its Onahama plant in Iwaki City, Japan, with JFE Engineering as EPC contractor. Installation starts in 2019 and commercial operation is planned for the first half of 2021.
