Resonac Holdings transferred all shares of its wholly-owned subsidiary Resonac Packaging, which makes secondary battery and food packaging materials, to Dai Nippon Printing effective February 3, 2025. Resonac says the impact on its performance will be insignificant.

Rengo integrated the packaging solution businesses of SunTox and Mitsui Chemicals Tohcello into a merged company and acquired a 51.0% stake, making it a subsidiary renamed RM Tochello. The company makes polyolefin films and foam-molded sheets.

Sumitomo Bakelite signed an agreement to acquire 90% of SB Pax, a new company split from Asahi Kasei Pax's laminated plastic film business, to expand its films and sheets business for pharmaceutical packaging. SB Pax is scheduled to begin operations on 1 April 2024.
