Mitsubishi Heavy Industries plans to build a second facility next to its MHIAEL Nagasaki Plant, doubling its floor area from 5,400 to about 11,000 square meters. The expansion will bring outsourced combustor processes in-house and support production ramp-up for PW1100G-JM engine components.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Aero Engines received an order from All Nippon Airways to retrofit intermediate pressure compressor modules on Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines for its Boeing 787 fleet, with first shipment completed September 11, 2019.

Nikkiso plans to move industrial and aerospace production from its Higashimurayama plant to its Miyazaki plant, investing about 9.5 billion yen to expand capacity there, with about 100 new jobs. Completion is planned by 2021.
