Florentine machinery maker PARA is building a new factory in Pistoia, Tuscany, to double its production area. The total investment is €9 million, with workshops due by mid-2023 and offices within 2024.

Xenon acquired 100% of Mectra and Emmeti in Montecchio Emilia and Sipac and Logik in Fontevivo, creating Ems Group, a packaging line maker with EUR 130 million turnover and 290 employees. The deal was reported on 2018-12-13.

Xenon Private Equity, via its Xenon Private Equity VI fund, bought 100% of Emmeti, Mectra, Sipac and Logik, creating EMS Group, a maker of palletizing, depalletizing and conveyor lines based in Italy. The deal was reported on 28 November 2018 and no value was disclosed.

Fava Artemio was commissioned by Serioplast to design and build a new bulk conveying system and Venturi pneumatic conveyor for PET and HDPE bottles at the L'Oréal plant in Settimo Torinese, Italy.
