Goglio SpA and its subsidiary Goglio Cofibox SpA approved a merger by incorporation of Cofibox into Goglio, effective 31 December 2016, to rationalize management and achieve economies of scale in packaging.

Tecnocap has acquired aluminum aerosol can and tube maker Tubettificio Europeo in Lecco, Italy, renaming it Tecnocap TL, with projected group turnover of EUR 200 million. The deal was finalized on 16 February 2017 and announced on 29 March 2017.

The Wise private equity fund acquired Tapì Group, an Italian maker of design closures for the packaging industry, under an investment plan to expand internationally and boost R&D. The group has factories in Italy, Mexico and Argentina and turns over about 40 million euros.

Berlin Packaging has completed its acquisition of Bruni Glass, an Italy-based maker of premium glass packaging with plants in Italy, France, Spain, China, Canada and the United States. The definitive agreement had been announced on October 11, 2016.
