Stora Enso launched a new consumer packaging board line at its Oulu mill in March 2025, adding 750,000 tonnes of annual capacity at a previously shuttered paper mill.

Norrhydro Oy will build a roughly €15 million factory in Rovaniemi's new industry area, doubling production capacity over time and creating over 100 jobs; construction starts May 2021 with relocation in 2022.

Högfors opened a new valve plant in Salo, Finland, built around a Fastems flexible manufacturing system that combines Deckel Maho and Gildemeister machine tools with a Fanuc robot cell. Eight machines were relocated from the old plant and the site is ready for production of butterfly and ball valves.
