Algerian packaging producer Général Emballage plans a new recycled containerboard (RCCM) mill in Naâma with 350,000 tpy capacity, with start-up scheduled for Q4 2028.

Sonatrach (51%) and Baker Hughes, a GE company (49%), formed a new company to build a 20,000 sqm manufacturing facility in Arzew Industrial Zone, Algeria, for wellheads, Christmas trees, BOPs and valves, with an initial investment of USD 45 million and 200 local jobs, expected operational in December 2019.
