German crane and heavy-haulage group Schmidbauer has ordered 17 new Liebherr cranes, from 55-tonne to 450-tonne models, as part of a fleet renewal for industrial, energy and infrastructure work. The first machine, an LTM 1450-8.1, has been handed over.

Pump maker Homa has invested EUR 7 million since 2024 in its Neunkirchen-Seelscheid site, including a DMG Mori machining centre that cuts machining time by 30%. The investment modernises motor and pump housing production.

MULTIVAC Group announced a new 35,000 square metre production factory in Wolfertschwenden, Germany, for manufacturing parts and handling spare parts logistics, with a total investment of around EUR60 million and completion due by end of 2025.

Festo is investing about EUR 30 million over 2017 and 2018 to expand its Esslingen-Berkheim headquarters, with labs and offices returning after production moved to Ostfildern.
