ZÁLESÍ a.s. is investing almost CZK 90 million in a new high-speed automated laminate tube line using Swiss SAESA 240 technology in Luhačovice, raising plant capacity by 45%. Serial production is planned for January 2026.

E. Hofmann Plastics acquired Czech packaging maker PAP Packaging from Italy's Manfreplast in Liquidazione in an auction linked to the seller's liquidation. The deal prevented insolvency and kept production running.

Toppan will build a 50,000 m² barrier film manufacturing facility in Most, Usti nad Labem region, Czech Republic, to produce its GL BARRIER transparent film for Europe. The ground-breaking took place in November 2023 and mass production is expected by late 2024.

Semperit will invest around EUR 110 million to add a highly automated hall at its Odry hose factory, adding 32 million metres of hydraulic hose capacity to almost 200 million metres per year, with operations planned from 2025.

Greiner Packaging Slušovice s.r.o. awarded a contract worth EUR 935,000 to Kuhne GmbH for extrusion and co-extrusion technology for barrier materials used in-line with its forming technology. The contract was published on 21 October 2017.
