Weir was selected by Codelco to supply tailings transport equipment for the Talabre tailings dam expansion in Chile's Atacama region. The initial contract awards are worth £40 million ($54 million) and represent the largest single order for Weir's GEHO pumps.

In 2017 MPOWER acquired a contract to supply valves to COLBUN S.A., one of Chile's leading electricity producers, for a project in Chile.
