Weir was selected by Codelco to supply tailings transport equipment for the Talabre tailings dam expansion in Chile's Atacama region. The initial contract awards are worth £40 million ($54 million) and represent the largest single order for Weir's GEHO pumps.

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions received orders worth SEK 400 million from Chilean miner Codelco for AutoMine load and haul automation and connected equipment for the El Teniente mine. The contract runs from 2022 through 2027.

PROK Chile won a contract to supply all conveyor idlers for the processing plant at the Sierra Gorda copper mine for the next two years, and will station technical specialists on site. The announcement is dated August 25, 2020.
