Kruger Inc. announced a C$333 million investment to build a nonwovens production unit on Île-de-la-Potherie in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, adjacent to its Wayagamack pulp and paper mill. Operations are planned to start in 2028.

Ontario tent and industrial bag maker Porcupine Canvas has relocated its production to Boucherville, Quebec, with a CAD 5.2 million investment and 30 jobs over two years. The move raises its annual production capacity by about 25%.
