Whirlpool Corporation has completed the sale of its Embraco compressor business in Brazil and worldwide to Japanese motor maker Nidec. The deal was first announced in April 2018.

Nidec completed its acquisition of Whirlpool Corporation's compressor business, Embraco, on 2 July 2019 after European Commission approval. Embraco operates in Brazil.
