Origin Energy selected Wärtsilä as preferred contractor for the first 460 MW / 920 MWh phase of the Eraring battery at its Eraring Power Station in New South Wales. The engineered equipment delivery contract is worth slightly more than 300 MEUR, with delivery from October 2023 to September 2024.

Boundary Power, a joint venture of Horizon Power and Ampcontrol, was selected as one of two delivery partners for a AUD 37 million roll-out of over 180 stand-alone power systems in regional Western Australia, starting in 2023. Boundary Power will build and deliver 101 R-Series systems and create around 30 jobs.

Winnellie Valve & Process was awarded a supply contract for 885 initially, rising to over 1,000 valves for the East Rockingham Waste to Energy plant in Western Australia. The plant is valued at $511 million and will generate 29MW of renewable baseload power.

The Chevron Australia joint venture awarded Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering a $554 million contract to build a 27,000-tonne field control station for the Jansz-Io gas compression project offshore Western Australia, due for completion by Q3 2025.

Baker Hughes was awarded a contract by Bechtel to supply six LM6000PF+ gas turbines, 14 centrifugal compressors and a gas turbine generator for Pluto LNG Train 2 in Western Australia, operated by Woodside. The train is expected to have about 5 million tpy capacity. The announcement is dated December 8, 2021.

Edina won a contract to supply a 1.2MW MWM gas engine to Eneraque Pty Ltd for the Ti Tree Bioenergy waste management facility near Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. The engine will join three existing 1.15MWe gas engines at the site.

A consortium of Vestas and Quanta Services was awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract for the 60.2MW Kennedy Energy Park phase one in Queensland, developed by Windlab. The wind, solar and battery project is expected to be operational by end-2018.

Aberdeen-based EnerMech was awarded a hose supply and services contract for Shell's Prelude FLNG vessel off Western Australia.
