IMEX, the industrial unit of Angola's Webcor Group, opened a new US$9.5 million woven polypropylene raffia bag processing facility. The plant has a capacity of 60 million bags a year and tripled IMEX's production capacity.

Angolan brewer Sodiba, with Embalvidro and Industrial Africa Development, plans to invest EUR 100 million in a glass packaging factory in Luanda, with 51% held by Sodiba and 49% by IAD, creating 188 direct jobs.
