O-I is investing €64 million to modernize its Vayres and Puy-Guillaume glass packaging facilities in France. The Puy-Guillaume plant will increase capacity to 415 tons per day with a furnace renewal, and the Vayres site will integrate Gas Oxy Advanced Technology (GOAT) to reduce emissions. The projects are expected to be completed by mid-2022 and end of 2022 respectively.
“By investing massively in new, more modern, more efficient and less carbon-intensive production units, we are continuing to keep the glassmaking profession alive by equipping it with the most advanced technologies.”glass-international.com
