# Rheinmetall and ICEYE plan joint venture for satellite production

Rheinmetall and ICEYE signed a memorandum of understanding on 8 May 2025 to establish a joint venture, Rheinmetall ICEYE Space Solutions, with Rheinmetall holding 60% and ICEYE 40%. The JV will manufacture SAR satellites and other space solutions at a site in Neuss, Germany, with production starting in Q2 2026.
