# UBE to expand polyimide hollow fiber membrane production in Japan

UBE Corporation will expand polyimide hollow fiber production at its Ube Chemical Factory and module assembly at its Sakai Factory in Japan to meet demand for CO2 separation membranes. The expansion will increase capacity by about 1.8 times, with both facilities scheduled to go online in the first half of fiscal 2025.
