# RTE awards €1B cable supply contracts to five suppliers

RTE has contracted with Prysmian, Nexans, NKT-SolidAl and Hellenic Cables for the supply and installation of about 5,200 km of high-voltage underground power cables, worth almost €1 billion. Cables will be produced in Europe, including at Prysmian plants in France.
