# Técnicas Reunidas wins Repsol contract to electrify compressors at Sines and Tarragona

Técnicas Reunidas has been awarded detailed engineering, procurement and equipment supply to electrify large machinery at Repsol's Sines (Portugal) and Tarragona (Spain) complexes. The work replaces ethylene and propylene compressor turbines with electric motors and is meant to cut CO2 emissions by 260,000 tonnes per year.
