# Ypsomed announces Schwerin II expansion starting January 2025

Ypsomed announced a major expansion of its Schwerin site, called Schwerin II, with construction starting in January 2025. The first phase will add 25,000 sqm of production space, a high-bay warehouse, and other buildings; a second phase in 2027/28 will add 17,000 sqm. Total investment is nearly half a billion Swiss francs, adding 400-500 million pens and autoinjectors annual capacity.
