# GE Vernova completes Phase 1 upgrades and starts Phase 2 at Besmaya power plant in Iraq

GE Vernova completed Phase 1 Advanced Gas Path upgrades on four 9F.04 gas turbines and started Phase 2 upgrades on four more at the 4.5 GW Besmaya Power Plant in Baghdad, Iraq. An eight-year service agreement for Phase 3 was also announced.
