# PSMC opens new 12-inch fab in Tongluo, Taiwan

Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC) held the grand opening of its new Tongluo Fab in Miaoli, Taiwan. The 12-inch wafer fab, with an investment exceeding NT$300 billion, has begun trial production and will produce 50,000 wafers per month at 55, 40, and 28nm nodes.
