Sumitomo Bakelite Co., Ltd. completed a new plant at its subsidiary Sumitomo Bakelite (Nantong) Co., Ltd. in China, increasing production capacity for phenolic molding compounds by approximately 2 times (about 25,000 tons/year). The completion ceremony was held on March 20, 2024, and mass production is scheduled to begin in June 2024.
