# GE Board approves spin-off of GE Vernova, launch of GE Aerospace

GE's Board of Directors approved the spin-off of GE Vernova, which will begin trading on April 2, 2024. GE shareholders will receive one share of GE Vernova for every four GE shares held on March 19, 2024, and GE will then operate as GE Aerospace.
