# Toray breaks ground on high-performance modified resin plant in Foshan, China

Toray Group began construction of a high-performance modified resin smart factory in Jiujiang, Nanhai, Foshan, China. The first phase involves a total investment of CNY 400 million (approx. USD 56 million) and will be the only overseas plant capable of producing Toray's full range of resin products. Trial operation is expected in March 2025, with full production by 2027.
