# BASF and LyondellBasell form joint venture ACHIEVE for specialty chemicals

BASF and LyondellBasell Industries have agreed to combine their specialty chemicals businesses to form a new joint venture called ACHIEVE. The venture will combine BASF's plastic additives and catalysts businesses with LyondellBasell's performance elastomers and coatings businesses, with annual sales of approximately $3 billion.
