# Siam Cement and Braskem form joint venture for bio-ethylene production in Thailand

Thai Polyethylene Company, a subsidiary of SCG Chemicals (part of Siam Cement), entered into a joint venture agreement with Braskem to produce bio-ethylene from ethanol in Map Ta Phut, Rayong, Thailand. SCGC will hold 49% and Braskem 51% of the joint venture.
